Finally now i'm a VPE :)

Hi everyone, Yesterday 20th April 2010

I had an election at my club, SIM Students Toastmasters Club

a club that i've been with for more than a year now.

I was running for a position in the EXCO, i'm running for VPE (Vice President of Education)

So i was suppose to write a speech for 5-7 minute on Why should i be the EXCO? and tell the reasons, and what will i do if i be one...

at start, i really got no idea on what to say

Prepared my speech in the morning 4am, and i watched video of Obama speech on Youtube

heard a lot of his speeches and finally i get and inspiration and i finally finish my speech by 8am :)

and i would also thanks Sean, the current president of the club to give me an important tips

and that is this speech is not about ME and I, but it's about the members and i'm should use more 'YOU' on my speech... it's really helped me a lot.

The election start at 7pm, and i was nervous... no matter how many times i went in from of the stage and speak, there is always this sensation of nervousness.

i was competing with 2 other contestant that was running for the same position as well.

and when all us of done giving our speech, came the Q&A sessions.

some of the questions asked was:

- What's your greatest weakness that you think that can make you fail as a VPE? (by: Kenneth Lee, the past President of our club)

- What's your favorite day of the week? (by: Zhen zhi, the first President of the club)

Luckily I managed to answer all the question :)

Finally, the moment of truth come... and the result finally come out

and.... I win the Position together with Zhen Chong :)

Now that i got the position, it means that i got a responsibility to take

and i promise that i will do all my best for the club

This will be another journey in my life that i will remember for the rest of my life

This Journey will be a walk to remember, and i'm sure to learn a lot

and with this i would like to say thank you everyone for your support

without all of you, i won't be what i am today
